Wonderful French Brocante finds

Tony and I went to a huge Brocante at the weekend,it was 5kms of stands through a beautiful forest. The sun shone and there was so many wonderful items to buy as you can see in the photograph.I long to keep lots of them but have to remember that this house overflows and space is difficult to find .Tony bought most of it but I bought masses of vintage lace,so much in fact keep thinking I should put some on Etsy because I already have several large boxes full to the brim.

As ever my photos don't do them justice  for example the walnut shell is carved with a hundred
faces, there are cherubs and pretty ladies  on lots of things. There is a sponge ware money box I
      love as well.
I just said to Tony I was going to bid on the wonderful tiny jewelled crown(perfect size for one of           my dolls)  and he has given it to me!!I am delighted.

  8. Hello,
I visited your blog today - I saw on another friend's blog. I am in love with the little cloth dolls. that are shown on your blog. They are so sweet. I see that you are from France. My daughters visited France a few years ago, and loved everything about it. We started a blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I would enjoy coming back to visit with you. Your blog is filled with creative ideas, and it is very cheerful to me. I hope to hear from you, and have a sweet day.

  9. Jill, I was just down a few posts looking at the lovely doll creations the ladies have made. Under your tutelage they have made just beautiful wonderful dolls. Just gorgeous. It must be so much fun sitting there listening to the chatter and quiet times together at the table with busy hands sharing an activity. Wonderful! *smiles* Norma

  11. First of all thank you for visiting my humble blog. Since you already have crocheted and embroidered it would be easy for you to pick them both up once again.

I had to look up the word brocante, even though I had an idea of what it meant just by the photos. I figured an outdoor flea market, as they are called here. I would love to go to some of the brocantes that you and Tony visit. They would be exciting and wonderful.

You got some wonderful goodies and I look forward to seeing what you create with them.

I think your dolls are oh so lovely, sweet clothing and pretty faces.

    Enjoy your day.

  15. Jill you have found so many wonderful treasures, can a girl have too much lace - no, when I visit second hands shops I always buy lace, although I have a lot. Have a lovely weekend.
